Background

The Nijbakker-Morra Foundation (NMS) was founded in 1974 by Mrs. C.M. Nijbakker-Morra. The aim of the foundation is to promote cancer research. Mr and Mrs Nijbakker decided to devote their entire legacy to cancer research, after their only daughter, Erica Joy Nijbakker, had died of cancer. The foundation is limited in size, which is one of the reasons why it spends virtually all its income on cancer research.
