Clarification PBO (ANBI)

The Foundation is a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO, or ANBI in Dutch). An institution can only be a PBO if it is at least 90% committed to the public good.

PBO obligations

As PBO we are obliged to publish the following information on our website:

  • The name of our institute: Nijbakker Morra Foundation (KvK 41192182);
  • The RSIN (Rechtspersonen en Samenwerkingsverbanden Informatie Nummer)/fiscal number: RSIN 008608003;
  • The institution’s contact information: see the contact page;
  • For a clear description of the ANBI’s mission, see the homepage and the background page;
  • The main points of the policy plan: see the policy plan here;
  • For the names and titles of the board members, see the board page;
  • The remuneration policy: the board is unpaid;
  • For a current report on our activities, see below. The annual grants are listed on the individual pages for the causes we support;
  • Financial Accountability: Given that the Foundation is an endowment fund—we do not actively raise funds or collect goods—and given that we spend the assets or the income from those assets almost exclusively on our mission, we are only required to publish the statement of income and expenses; see  here.

Activity Report

The Foundation has once again undertaken the following activities this year:

  • The Medical Advisory Committee has reviewed all applications for internship grants, scholarships, and student awards;
  • The treasurer has distributed the grants and awards for the approved applications;
  • The student awards ceremony, annual meeting, and conference call, presided over by the chair or his or her alternate from the board;
  • The secretary has taken the minutes of the meetings and maintained the website, including posting information on scholarship and award recipients, announcing the annual meeting, and publishing the statement of income and expenses. If there are any changes to amounts or conditions, the secretary also updates the application forms;
  • The board and the medical advisory committee do not actively solicit funds; bequests and donations are welcome and help ensure the Foundation’s continued existence.
  • From 2024 through 2026, the board and the medical advisory committee worked to establish a special professorship
